Puna is Hawaiian for a spring
Puna Pay is a Bittsi brand bringing payment services to businesses beyond veterinary software. Bittsi makes Bittsi PIMS, a veterinary practice management system, and Puna Pay extends the payment side of that work to retail and service businesses.
“Puna” is the Hawaiian word for a spring: water that keeps rising without anyone working a handle. We chose the name because payments should be steady infrastructure you do not have to think about.
Where this came from
Puna Pay is new and does not yet have a customer base to point to. What we can say is what we are trying to do: explain payment pricing in plain terms, show where the card networks’ cost ends and our markup begins, and tell you honestly whether switching makes sense.

We sell the model, not a headline rate
Any processor can advertise a low number and make it back elsewhere. We quote from your own volume and fees, because that is the only figure that survives contact with your card mix.

Who actually moves the money
Puna Pay is an independent Sales Partner of North. North is the processor: it holds the platform, the sponsor-bank relationships and the card-network registrations, and it settles funds to your account. We handle the part in front of it — reviewing your numbers, recommending a setup and helping you through onboarding.
That division is worth stating plainly, because plenty of resellers blur it. You should know whose platform your money moves across before you sign anything.
