Offset your card costs — the compliant way

Our opt-in surcharging program adds a small, capped fee to credit transactions only — set up with the signage, receipts, and card-network registration handled for you. Entirely your choice; many of our merchants don’t use it.

How it looks at checkout

Credit gets a clear line item. Debit never does.

The terminal detects the card type automatically — debit and prepaid cards are never surcharged, and the credit surcharge appears as its own labeled line, not a hidden markup.

Debit and prepaid are never surcharged

The terminal detects card type automatically — debit and prepaid cards always pass through with no added fee. This isn't optional; it's federal rule, and our hardware enforces it.

Capped by card-network rules

Credit surcharges may never exceed the network cap, and never more than your actual cost of acceptance. Our program sets the fee within both limits automatically.

Not available in some states

Surcharging is restricted or prohibited in certain states (including CT and MA, among others). We check your state during onboarding before anything is enabled.

Signage and receipts, provided

Card networks require entry and point-of-sale disclosure signage plus a labeled receipt line. We ship the signage and configure the receipts — you tape up two signs.

Dual pricing where surcharging isn't allowed

If your state restricts surcharging, we can set up a compliant dual-pricing program instead — a posted card price and cash price, disclosed up front.

This page is a plain-English summary, not legal advice. Rules vary by state and card network and change over time — we confirm what applies to your business during onboarding.
